Packing and weddings and road trips, oh my!

So what have we been up to these days?  Glad you asked :) 

• Jocelyn is done with work!  Okay, so there’s tons of work to do still before we leave, but as far as paychecks/W-2’s go, it’s nice to be done with that now :)
• Jessica and Kenneth are getting married on Saturday!  Fun stuff—we’ve been around to help eat—I mean help make little chocolate wedding favor things and do other little projects that help weddings go smoother.
• We’re planning a road trip!  We’re leaving a couple days before New Year’s and will be gone for about 2 weeks visiting friends and family in OR, CA, AZ and TX. 
• Our Visas should be in process this week!  We turned in all the paperwork and stuff for them the week before Thanksgiving, and our dates for them jumping thru all the hoops they need to pass thru have gotten pushed back a couple times, but they should be coming back to us shortly :)
• We bought our trunks!  We haven’t totally decided if we’re just taking 4 or if we should get another one or two (and just pay for the extra baggage since it will be cheaper than trying to ship stuff).  Still trying to decide what we absolutely can’t live without.  Jocelyn has too many books.  Brian has too many things that plug in.  The good news is that our clothes shouldn’t take up too much space (as we will not be packing any coats or heavy winter layers). 

What should we take with us?
